365 – An Epic Year

365 is an annual personal growth course created by EfficaceMente, Italy’s leading personal development blog, designed to help people achieve their goals through a structured and practical method. For the fifth edition in 2025, we designed a project that combines functionality, aesthetics and interaction, inspired by the metaphor of dawn rising on a new year. Our intervention included concept and packaging design, with a strong focus on opening and discovery; the selection of premium Fedrigoni papers to give the kit a distinctive and precious character; visual and tactile interactions reinforcing awakening and self-elevation; and a fully custom design system for numbers, graphic details and illustrations. The project is built around dawn as a symbol of renewal and gradual growth. The visual language is minimalist and geometric, reflecting the essential yet functional nature of the method. The binder contains four diaries, one for each quarter of the year, together with a user manual, a daily progress poster, a mantra leaflet and a welcome leaflet. It opens horizontally, revealing the diaries one at a time in chronological order. The cover is enhanced with orange Luxor hot-foil stamping, creating a luminous contrast against the deep blue background and highlighting a stylised sun rising over the sea. To elevate the experience, premium materials and finishes were carefully selected. Fedrigoni Imitlin Blu Notte E/R05 Tela was used for the main cover to provide depth and elegance, while Fedrigoni Sirio Color Orange appears in interior elements to evoke the warmth of dawn. Hot-foil stamping with Kurz Luxor 404 highlights key details throughout the kit. The diaries feature Swiss binding with visible orange thread stitching, allowing a full 180° opening while adding a functional and decorative spine detail. A custom die-cut welcome leaflet increases interaction and engagement. Every element of the kit is designed to be interactive. Progressive illustrations of the rising sun appear on the inner flaps, marking the passage of time and reinforcing gradual growth. Diary covers are partially visible while inserted in the binder, forming numerical sequences that guide discovery; once removed, the full geometric design and the quarter name are revealed: Enthusiasm, Focus, Balance, Determination. Each diary spine features a unique illustration linked to its theme, ensuring visual continuity. The welcome leaflet introduces a playful numerical system: the external “365” transforms into “2025” through a sequence of folds and reused shapes, creating a moment of surprise and highlighting attention to detail. The binder is divided into five pockets: one for introductory materials and four housing the quarterly diaries. Each diary completes its visual and narrative identity only when removed, reinforcing the idea of progression. 365 is a progressive experience. Each element reveals itself over time, like a sunrise, it gradually illuminates the path forward.
