Hematonix — Logo, Identity, Packaging

Hematonix GS1 is a continuous glucose monitoring system designed for adults and children from the age of two. The sensor measures glucose levels in interstitial fluid, automatically transmits data to a mobile device every five minutes, and helps users understand how nutrition, physical activity and therapy affect their condition.

The packaging concept is based on the idea of continuous monitoring and the transition between two states. Cool blue represents stability, control and reliable observation, while vivid orange signals a change in glucose levels that requires the user’s attention. The gradient connecting these colours visualises the movement of data and became the central element of the brand’s graphic language.

Our objective was to create packaging that would communicate medical accuracy and technological sophistication while remaining clear and approachable. A precise information hierarchy helps users quickly identify the product and understand its purpose. Expressive colour transitions, metallic surfaces and restrained typography give the system a distinctive appearance without relying on conventional sterile healthcare imagery.

The packaging was developed through a combination of modular grid design, typography, gradient colour construction and realistic 3D visualisation. Particular attention was paid to the interaction between printed graphics, reflective materials and light. This approach allowed us to test the design across different viewing angles and ensure that the packaging retained its clarity and visual impact both on a physical shelf and in digital communication.

What makes the design distinctive is the functional role of colour. Blue and orange are not simply decorative elements: they communicate the two key states of the monitoring system—stability and change. The same principle extends across the packaging, logo, product imagery, digital interface and promotional materials, creating a coherent experience from the physical sensor to the mobile application.

The resulting identity was successfully introduced into a commercial medical product and now forms the basis of Hematonix GS1’s visual communication. The system is available through major Russian marketplaces and specialised pharmacy retailers. Across Ozon, Wildberries and Yandex Market, the product has accumulated more than 1,700 customer ratings, while maintaining average scores of approximately 4.5–4.6 out of 5. The packaging has helped establish a consistent and recognisable presence for Hematonix GS1 within the competitive continuous glucose monitoring category.
