Gold foil stamping meets deep, saturated matte paper wraps in this specialty cheese packaging system designed by Design Womb for Mitica, the beloved Mediterranean import brand by Forever Cheese.

The line spans four fixed-weight Parmigiano Reggiano wedges, each with a distinct aging profile, origin, or milk source– unified by a typographic system drawn from Italian editorial design and vintage type foundries. No pastoral photography. No rustic textures. Just color, type, foil, and form.

Each SKU gets its own colorway from Mitica’s Mediterranean palette. A custom icon anchors the center of each wrap while the Mitica wordmark holds the family together. The wedge-shaped wraps themselves echo the geometry of a piece of a Parmigiano wheel which is a subtle structural nod to the product’s origin.

Substrate: paper cheese wrap with gold foil stamp. The contrast of matte against metallic does the sensory work a retail shelf rarely allows. The result feels like a cheese counter in Milan, not a grocery aisle — which for a World Cheese Award Super Gold winner, is exactly where it belongs.
