Greco Gum – Mastic Gum Capsules Packaging Redesign

Greco Gum is a brand specializing in natural mastic gum products sourced from the Greek island of Chios. The packaging redesign focused on the brand’s mastic gum capsules, introducing a new cylindrical paper format that offered greater flexibility for visual storytelling and product communication.

The creative direction was guided by evolution rather than reinvention. The objective was to preserve Greco Gum’s established identity while adapting its recognizable colors and graphic elements to the proportions and possibilities of the new packaging.

At the center of the composition is a vintage-inspired illustration celebrating the landscape and traditional cultivation of mastic trees in Chios. This visual approach reinforces the connection between the product and its geographical origins, bringing a sense of heritage and authenticity to the packaging.

The cylindrical paper structure provides a larger surface for organizing information, allowing for a clearer typographic hierarchy and a more balanced composition. A new system of graphic seals was also introduced to communicate product benefits and certifications consistently.

The result is a refined packaging design that combines heritage, functionality, and contemporary visual communication, strengthening Greco Gum’s identity while preserving its recognizable character.
