Baklava Box Design, Hallab 1881
Hallab 1881 is a Lebanese sweets brand from Tripoli, known for its high-quality ingredients and traditional recipes. Its landmark store, Kasr El Helou (which means “Palace of Sweets”), is an essential part of the brand’s identity: an elegant, historic place that reflects the richness of Lebanese pastry culture. For this pre-packed baklava box, I created a story-driven illustration inspired by Hallab’s identity and the charm of Tripoli, a coastal city. The concept imagines the box as a hidden treasure chest found by the sea, filled with sweets instead of gold, and surrounded by a mermaid and a boat to enhance the storytelling dimension of the design. Hallab’s signature deep green and gold color palette evokes the brand’s warmth and luxury. In the background, Kasr El Helou stands by the sea, surrounded by the ingredients Hallab is known for: pistachios, walnuts, almonds, cashews, pine nuts, rose, and orange blossom. This design transforms the box into more than just packaging, it becomes a meaningful gift and a way to share a piece of Lebanese culture with the world.
