Cake Social – Cake Store Branding & Packaging

Brief:

Cake Social creates custom cakes for birthdays, weddings, and special celebrations. All cakes are made to be the centerpiece of the occasion with a modern aesthetic. The brand makes every celebration feel more memorable.

How did the idea come about?

The entire concept started from the premise that it was not just a Cake Social cake being delivered; rather, it was one of the guests at the party who had come. This idea has been depicted through the walking cake, which adds an element of fun to the packaging and serves as a reminder of how the cake plays an integral role in the celebration.

Why this material and style?

The selection of the paperboard box is made with durability in mind as well as its potential as an excellent base to print bold visuals on it. This straightforward cube-shaped packaging design has a sense of modernity and functionality; all elements of design and color will be used to emphasize the visual effect of the graphics.

The use of dark red and pale pink colors provides this contrast between elegant and playful aesthetics of the brand identity. The combination of vintage typography with hand-drawn illustrations and curved borders makes allusion to traditional decorations like cake piping and ribbons.
