I Giardini di Pomona – Fig tasting
The most authentic essence of an ancient fruit unfolds gradually, guiding the palate through an intimate journey of discovery, bite after bite.
I Giardini di Pomona are a botanical conservatory set in the heart of Valle d’Itria (South Italy), renowned for safeguarding an extraordinary heritage of fig varieties, alongside other fruit trees native to the Mediterranean landscape, pomegranates, persimmons, pear trees and live groves.
It is a timeless place, where nature follows its own unhurried rhythm and offers fruits imbued with memory, tradition and unspilt flavor.
For we developed a vertical project dedicated to the identity of a new product line: exquisite figs enrobed in fine chocolate.
An expression of excellence that preserves the distinctive character of each fig variety, elevated through its encounter with white, milk and dark chocolate of the highest quality.
The creative process began not with packaging, but with an idea: the enduring fascination of mystery. The selected figs, chosen from the most prestigious cultivars preserved within the conservatory, remain concealed beneath their chocolate coating, revealing their true nature only at the first bite. A moment of revelation that awakens the senses and transforms tasting into an experience of wonder.
This philosophy of discovery shaped the packaging design, conceived as far more than a container. The lower band, carrying the essential product information, offers a subtle preview of the box beneath, adorned with refined fig illustrations. Once removed, the illustration is revealed in its entirety, inviting the final gesture of opening.
Just as with the figs themselves, the act of breaking the chocolate shell unveils the fruit in all its richness, authenticity and pleasure.
