Piazza | Explosive weaving method
Piazza is a project carried out as part of one of my courses completed in 2023, with the aim of creating original packaging for a range of pizzas, using the explosive weaving method.
Inspired by Camila Falsini’s graphic universe, I imagined abstract, playful characters on each box, playing with geometric shapes and an explosion of color.
Each pizza is visually translated by a palette and composition specific to its ingredients:
- Margherita: yellow for the cheese, green for the basil, and mauve to tie it all together in a cheerful, offbeat mood
- Pepperoni : dark red for pepperoni, yellow for cheese, light red for tomato sauce; circles recall pepperoni slices.
- Vegetariana : dominant green to represent the vegetable, with circular shapes evoking sliced vegetables.
The brand logo, Piazza, was created from a typographic grid provided by our teacher during a previous assignment, which I reused. This framework enabled me to explore the construction of original letters, while maintaining graphic coherence with the project as a whole.
A project where shapes, colors and emotions intertwine to create an original, gourmet graphic universe
